Market outlook (editorial)
Making a forecast of the price of Ethena is difícil. Its value will depend on a series of unpredictable factores. Despite this, many anticipate that the price of Ethena could surpass its ATH if certain condiciones are met. For example, the introduction of MiCA in Europe may affect the price of Ethena, as it will need to operate in a regulated environment. In addition, Bitcoin’s behavior will also influence it, as it is often what arrastra the rest of the market’s cryptocurrencies. We recommend conducting your own market analysis to always make the best determinación. In the long term, the price evolution of Ethena will largely depend on how Bitcoin, the king of the cryptocurrency market, fluctuates. The valor of Ethena in 2030 will also depend on major news, events, political movements, and updates to the blockchain itself. If the predictions of some análisis come true, Ethena could have a much higher price than it does now, but these forecasts should only be considered as a reference and never as something that will definitely happen.

Ethena at a glance
USDe: a "synthetic dollar," not a bank-backed stablecoin
Ethena's core product is USDe, a "synthetic dollar" that aims to hold a dollar peg without being backed by dollars in a bank, unlike stablecoins such as USDT or USDC. Its stability is achieved through a financial strategy (delta-neutral), not cash reserves, which makes it a different model with risks of its own.
The delta-neutral strategy that holds the peg
Ethena holds the peg by combining a spot position in crypto (such as staked ETH or BTC) with an equivalent short position in perpetual futures: if the asset's price rises, the short's loss is offset by the spot gain, and vice versa. That "delta-neutral" balance cancels price exposure and is what sustains the value of USDe.
The yield of sUSDe and the negative-funding risk
Staking USDe gives you sUSDe, which distributes the strategy's yield: it comes mainly from the "funding" that long traders pay to shorts in the perpetuals, plus staking of the spot leg. The inherent risk of this design is that, in prolonged bear markets, that funding can turn negative and the yield can fall to zero or below, which pressures the model. The price is volatile and this is not advice.
What can you do with Ethena?
Hold a synthetic dollar on-chain
USDe's core use is to act as a digital dollar within DeFi without relying on bank reserves, to trade, transfer or store value in something that aims to hold the peg. Since it is backed by a strategy rather than cash, it carries risks different from those of a traditional stablecoin.
Earn yield by staking USDe into sUSDe
Staking USDe returns sUSDe, which distributes the yield of the delta-neutral strategy (funding plus staking). It is its best-known use case, but that yield is variable, not guaranteed, and can fall to zero or negative if funding flips.
Take part in governance with ENA
The ENA token lets you take part in governing the Ethena protocol and vote on its evolution. Unlike USDe, ENA does not seek any peg: its price is free and volatile, and its value is tied to the adoption and soundness of Ethena's model.
