What network does Shiba Inu run on?

SHIB is an ERC-20 token that lives on Ethereum, not its own blockchain. That means every SHIB transfer on the main network pays gas fees in ETH, which rise when Ethereum is congested. To make those operations cheaper and faster, the project launched its own layer 2, Shibarium.
