Bittensor is an open source protocol that uses blockchain technology to create a decentralised machine learning network. This network allows machine learning models to be collaboratively trained and rewarded in TAO based on the informational value they provide to the collective. In addition, Bittensor's TAO grants external access to users, allowing them to extract information from the network as they adjust their activities to meet their needs. Bittensor's ultimate vision is to create a marketplace for artificial intelligence, allowing producers and consumers of this good to interact in a trustless, open and transparent context. Bittensor provides a novel strategy for the development and distribution of artificial intelligence technology, promoting open access/ownership, decentralised governance and global access to computing power and innovation within an incentivised framework. The Bittensor network operates using two types of nodes, servers and validators, with evaluations based on the value of their responses. Nodes that add value to the network are rewarded with more participation (TAO), while low-value nodes are weakened and eventually deregistered.
