eToro fees explained

On your eToro statement you will not find a line reading “crypto fee”, and that is precisely the point to understand. Per its official pricing page, the cost — around 1% — is built into the price through the spread, the difference between the price they sell to you at and the price they buy back at, and it applies on the way in and on the way out: a full buy-and-sell cycle on €1,000 runs about €20. Top club tiers enjoy discounts, and whoever also wants to take the coins to eToro Money adds the 2% for that leg. For someone buying every month, that invisible ~1% works like a recurring fee: €500 monthly leaves about €5 on every entry. None of this is hidden — it is published — but it travels inside the price, not on the invoice.

An order book does the opposite exercise: on Bit2Me Pro every trade shows its fee as a separate line — up to 0% maker / 0.10% taker on liquid pairs; maker when your order adds liquidity to the book, taker when it consumes it — so that same €1,000 costs €1 per trade and the full cycle about €2. In the simple interface the published range runs from 0.1% to 0.95% depending on the pair. The cost exists in both houses; the difference is that in one you read it before signing and in the other you infer it from the price.

Let’s concede what belongs to eToro: its copy trading — automatically replicating other investors — has no equivalent at Bit2Me, and on cash stocks and ETFs it competes very well. On pure cost per crypto trade, the order book wins by an order of magnitude.

It depends on the product and volume tier. Always check eToro's official fee schedule before confirming a trade, and include spread and network fees if you withdraw crypto.

Summary: eToro fees and the Bit2Me alternative

Real cost is more than the headline rate. If you trade in euros and value predictable fees, SEPA funding and a MiCA-regulated European exchange, Bit2Me fits as an alternative to eToro.
