About Puffer

Puffer is a native liquid restaking protocol built on EigenLayer, which allows Ethereum validators to maximize their rewards by combining traditional staking gains with restaking earnings. By depositing ETH into Puffer, users receive pufETH, a token that automatically accumulates rewards from both Ethereum staking and restaking on EigenLayer, maintaining liquidity and capital efficiency. The PUFFER token is at the heart of the Puffer ecosystem governance, which includes the restaking protocol, the UniFi rollup, and the UniFi AVS pre-confirmation service. Through vePUFFER, an NFT-based governance mechanism (ERC-721), users can participate in key decisions such as operator selection, reward allocation, and protocol parameter settings. This model encourages long-term participation without requiring fixed lock-up periods, offering flexibility and alignment with the ecosystem's goals.
